Administrative Applications Support
The Administrative Applications Support group (AAS) is committed to developing systems and applications software that improve the central administration's ability to access and use information contained in its many computer databases. AAS provides design and development services to allow customer access to data from the core computer systems operated by University Management Systems (UMS) in Boulder as well as from UCD-specific computer systems. The AAS group also assists administrative departments via consultation regarding information systems strategies based on new technologies.
The scope of services offered by AAS addresses seven areas:
- Develop and manage a corporate database
- System design and development
- Serving as liaison to UMS
- Offering Transactional system support
- Performing computer operations functions
- Assist with information systems acquisitions
- Training
