SIS Replacement Project
This site exists to provide information about the University of Colorado's project to replace the existing student information system (SIS) with Oracle, as related to both UCD campuses (DC and AMC). As information becomes available, this site will be updated.
A basic time line for for the project is as follows (additional time line information will be added as data is provided by the project office):
12/20/07-01/25/08 - Functional specifications for Customer Relations Management (CRM), Admissions, Financial Aid (FA), and Student Financials (SF) completed
02/01/08 - Final configuration* for Campus Community (CC)
02/22/08 - Final configuration* for Academic Structure (AS)
02/29/08 - Student Records functional specs including Degree Audit (DARS), Self-Service (SS), etc
03/28/08 - Final configuration* for Financial Aid
03/31/08-06/06/08 - Prototyping
April 2008 - Reporting Issues
April 2008 - Workflow
Summer 2008 - CRM go-live for UCD down town campus and AMC Nursing
06/09/08-08/22/08 - Final system configuration*
08/25/08-10/03/08 - Business process documentation and unit test scripts
10/06/08-12/12/08 - Unit testing
12/15/08-02/20/09 - Modular integrated testing
03/08/09-05/08/09 - System Integration Testing (data conversion, system configuration and prototyping, extensions, modifications, and customizations, critical interfaces, core self-service functions, testing-necessary reports, and the portal front-end must be complete by this time)
06/08/09 - CRM go-live for UCB and UCD Undergrad and School of Nursing
Summer 2009 - Second round of integration testing, focusing on self-service and portal
07/08/09 - Admissions go-live for all campuses for the 2010 recruiting cycle. including portal for student recruitment and prospective students
February 2010 - Financial Aid go-live for all campuses for Fall 2010 term
Fall 2010 - Go-live for all remaining modules for all campuses, including portal for all areas
