Handicapped Parking
Individuals with a temporary physical disability requiring minimization of walking distances, should apply through the State of Colorado for a Temporary Disability Permit which can then be utilized for parking in any designated handicapped parking space on campus. Individuals must submit handicap registration along with a picture ID.
Vehicles must display the State of Colorado Disability Permit on their vehicle or the vehicle will be ticketed. Disabled employees are required to pay a monthly parking fee and park in staff handicapped spaces.
Patient/Visitor Parking
Parking for patients or visitors is located at any facility signed "Patient/Visitor Only" and at parking meters. The daily parking rate for cash customers is $1.00 / hour up to $5.00 maximum. Parking meters are 25 cents / 15 minutes.
On the 9th Ave campus, the following parking lots are available for daily cash customers:
- North Pavilion Lot - located on 12th and Birch Street, enter off of Birch Street. This lot is opened 24 hours a day. Parking meters are located in designated visitor stalls next to the north entrance of the building.
- A Lot Parking Structure - located at 9th & Clermont Street, enter off of the 9th Avenue entrance. This lot is open 24 hours day and payment is made upon entering the lot to an auto cashier. The auto cashier will accept bill denominations up to $20.00, coins, and parking tokens. Once payment is rendered the machine will issue a ticket, please keep this ticket in order to exit the west exit gate. The rate in this structure is a flat $4.00.
On the
Anschutz Medical Campus, there are daily cash customer parking lots for UCD Patients and Visitors:
- Ignacio Lot - Located on the North side of Building 500 on East 19th Ave.
- Georgetown Lot - Located in the Northeast corner of 19th Ave and Uvalda Ct.
- Julesburg Lot - Located on the Northwest corner of 17th Place and Victor St.
- Cheyenne Wells - Located on the Northeast corner of 17th Place and Racine St.
These parking lots have automated paystations that accept cash, coin, and credit cards. The rates are $1.00 per hour up to $5.00 (over 4 hours) on weekdays. The flat rate
after 5 pm and weekends is $1.00.

Special Events Parking
The Parking and Transportation Services Division can provide parking for special events to be held on campus. Departments hosting these events must fill out this form: Special Events Form. When that form is received the Coordinator will provide options for parking, if space is available. It's important that departments make these arrangements BEFORE sending out invitations because the parking alternatives change from month to month. Departments will be charged for the cost of providing staffing at special events and for parking.
