Draft UC Denver Strategic Plan
UC Denver Strategic Plan (03/20/08)
Appendix A: Financial and Capital Plan
Each unit should provide their consensus suggestions for changes to the plan to the UPAC. Suggestions for changes are to be collected and submitted as a single document, tracking changes in Microsoft Word, by the unit’s representative to the UPAC* (i.e., Dean, Faculty Assembly Chair, etc.).
* If you are uncertain about who your unit representative to UPAC is, please check the UPAC Membership as well as the Resource Council representatives.
It’s imperative that our ultimate university strategic plan represent the best thinking of many minds, not just a few. To that end, the UPAC committee has developed some resources to help you understand why the planning process is important, how the process has worked to this point, how you can get involved and what our next steps will be. To learn more you can either view a brief video in which Provost Mark Heckler and Vice Chancellor Rod Nairn answer the most frequently asked questions. Or you can use our quick guide to understand more. Following are links for either resource:

The University of Colorado Board of Regents requires that each institution within the CU-System present a draft strategic plan to the Board for its review and approval in 2008. The University of Colorado Denver (UCD) is required to submit its strategic plan for approval at the January 2008 Regents Meeting. Our overarching goals for this process are twofold:
- to develop and maintain a dynamic and comprehensive strategic plan for UCD
- to prepare for accreditation for the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools
